Meteorite is a piece of a meteor that has fallen to the Earth’s surface; it is mostly iron and nickel. Notably, the gold case and bracelet appear to be 18k white gold in its natural state, without the rhodium plating that is often used to give it a bright, silvery finish. Consequently the case and bracelet are grey with a very, very slight tinge of yellow. I believe the first time Rolex used this unusual material on their watches was with the Daytona in white gold, but it is consistently seen on Datejusts and other models throughout.
