The American format of the complication (month-date-day) fits right into the company’s roots, as it was American watchmaker and engineer Florentine Ariosto Jones who founded the International Watch Company in 1868 after travelling from the USA to Europe.

Movement

The 4 Hz (28,800 vph) IWC-manufactured 52850 calibre is equipped with the Pellaton winding system which features virtually wear-free ceramic components and uses two barrels to generate a remarkable power reserve of 7 days.


The movement and the rotor with an inlaid Jubilee medallion can be viewed through the see-through sapphire-glass back. The watch is water resistant to 60 metres / 200 feet.
